Natural Hayfever Remedies
Vitamin C:
Vitamin C acts as a natural antihistamine. It can be found in beta-carotene rich foods such as broccoli. red peppers, citrus fruits and strawberries. Hayfever sufferers could benefit from taking a vitamin C supplement 500-1000mg per day.
 
Echinacea:
Echinacea is one of the most commonly used medicinal plants and is renowned for its anti-viral, anti-bacterial and immune-boosting properties. Echinacea stimulates the immune system, which helps reduce the common hayfever like symptoms.
How to use: Echinacea should be avoided by patients with M.S. or any other auto-immune or other immune-deficient.
 
Garlic:
Garlic has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal activity. Garlic helps to reduce excess catarrah, but you would need to eat at least two cloves of garlic a day. An alternative to this is a garlic supplement (odourless option available).
